Yes, it is better than a water humidifier as far as scent diffusion is concerned. Simple to use and no cleaning process is quick. If used in a small room, the mist volume can be too much even on the lowest setting, so using the timed off feature helps. Replacing it with another fragrance is also easy. I recommend.
